Why does the community need a publication like OCPC?
Currently, the Persian-American population in the U.S. is estimated at over 1,500,000 with over 50% living in California. However with each generation that passes, less and less are able to read Farsi publications, but still want to stay connected to their culture. OCPC allows them to keep abreast of all the happenings within the community in a language that, for many, is their first. OCPC also allows the Persian-American community to share their culture with non-Iranian friends and family members.
